Bona Certified Contractors

What the Bona Certified Contractor Program is

The Bona Certified Contractor Program (BCCP) is a worldwide initiative from Bona. Contractors are chosen by invitation only -- it is not an open application process. The program is for flooring contractors who use Bona non-toxic finishes instead of toxic solvent finishes and who demonstrate professionalism in their work practices.

The strict selection criteria give you confidence that a Bona Certified Contractor is an industry professional experienced with Bona product systems who will complete a quality job in a professional manner from quotation to application.

What a BCC has signed up to

Each Bona Certified Contractor has signed a legal undertaking to abide by the requirements of the BCCP. These include:

- Demonstrated expert capability in the use of non-toxic Bona finishes

- Use of the complete compatible Bona finish system as specified by Bona

- Provision of information regarding ongoing care and maintenance of the finished floor

- Current public liability insurance policies of minimum $5 million cover

- Meeting relevant state statutory building licence requirements

- Adherence to workplace health and safety requirements and regulations

- Professional conduct in all business dealings

Choosing the right finish for your floor

There are many aspects to consider when deciding on the right finish -- wear resistance, sheen level and ongoing maintenance. Your Bona Certified Contractor will discuss what you need from your floor and help determine the best Bona finish system for your requirements.

Hiring a BCC means you are getting someone vetted by Bona, carrying proper insurance, holding the right licences, and using a compatible product system from start to finish. No mixing and matching random products that might not work together.

Lifetime support -- not just a one-off job

Bona's Lifetime Support concept backs the BCC program. Rather than just delivering a product and walking away, Bona promises to support customers for years to come. The idea is straightforward: support the floor through its entire life, from the first coat through future recoats and maintenance.

After the job is done, you get guidance on how to look after the floor so it stays looking good for as long as possible. That ongoing support is part of what the certification means.

A quality floor finish job is not just about the day the work gets done. It is about how the floor performs over the next 10, 15, 20 years.
